Presentation of new PROPOSAL 7.3 release:
- all processes contained in C7 by default should be enabled by default in C8, unless runtime or memory consumption is prohibitive; therefore this should also be the case for photon-induced muon pair production.
- Maximilian will review the pull request !421 to use the new PROPOSAL version
Fixing cascade.inl is in progress; once this is fixed, implementation of LPM effect via (Neumann rejection as in C7) can start
Photohadronic:
- For high energies, calculating secondaries with hadronic interaction models should not be very difficult
- For low energies (E < 80 GeV), a low energy interaction model would be needed (in C7, HDPM is used for this purpose).
- It must be ensured that photon-nucleus interactions are not handled by both PROPOSAL and a hadronic interaction model independently to avoid double-counting.
