Description
NHR@KIT is hosting an introductory level course for (future) users of the NHR@KIT infrastructure incl. the tier 2 HPC cluster HoreKa.
This hands-on course will discuss:
- commonest practices in using Git forges (github.com, gitlab et similia) for collaborative development of scientific codes;
- Git-related concepts, tools and practices useful in the software development workflow;
- fixing common problems with Git.
For the participants it is recommended to have at least basic experience with the Linux command line, and basic knowledge of Git. These prerequisites are covered in Software Carpentry courses (see links).
The course will take place on-site (in-person session).
No course fees apply. The number of participants is restricted.
