Description
Effective data stewardship in day-to-day research requires not only clear principles and guidelines but also practical tools that support researchers in managing their data without creating additional burdens. This workshop will present Kadi4Mat, a virtual research environment developed to facilitate structured, reproducible, and automated research data management.
Participants will gain insights into the key functionalities of Kadi4Mat: from creating and organising resources, to systematically storing research data with metadata, to automating data workflows. A special focus will be placed on how automation can reduce the perceived effort of documentation and allow researchers to concentrate on their core scientific work.
Participants are invited to bring a laptop with internet access in order to actively engage with Kadi4Mat during the workshop.
The workshop will combine live demonstrations with space for questions and discussions, providing a hands-on introduction to applying Kadi4Mat in research practice. Real-world use cases will illustrate how the platform integrates data from laboratory devices and supports the FAIR principles.
All participants, whether data stewards, RDM professionals, or researchers, are invited to explore how Kadi4Mat can be used as a practical solution in their own context and to exchange experiences on challenges and opportunities in implementing data stewardship in everyday research.
