DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Jordan Asenov Denev (SCC)\n\n\nOpenFOAM(R) is an ope
 n-source package for simulation of fluid flow and heat transfer problems i
 n engineering\, nature\, biological and astrophysical systems.\nAs a joint
  effort of bwHPC-S5 and NHR@KIT\, the Scientific Computing Center (SCC) is
  hosting an introductory and intermediate level course on the parallel use
  of OpenFOAM software for (current and future) users of the bwUniCluster (
 bwForClusters) or HoreKa supercomputers. The course will be held online Ma
 y 26\, 2026 from 9:30 to 15:00 and on May 27\, 2026 from 9:30 to 14:00 (in
  English\, online only). The course covers topics like using modules for p
 reparing the linux environment for using OpenFOAM\, some linux commands\, 
 submitting parallel jobs or setting up harddisk space for the computations
  as well as several OpenFOAM tutorials. The course is organized by the Com
 petence Center for Engineering (at SCC\, KIT and HS Esslingen) and the Sim
 DataLab Engineering in Energy and Mobility at the SCC\, KIT.\nParticipants
  are expected (although not mandatory but strongly recomended) to already 
 have an user-account on one of the above two SCC supercomputers or one of 
 the bwFORClusters. If you just obtained a new account - please\, immediate
 ly after the first login complete the required survey\, otherwise your acc
 ount may be blocked after two weeks. Please\, plan several days (3 or 4) f
 or obtaining an account (you should set up a VPN and a 2-way authenticatio
 n before the course). \nThe course will take place virtually (exclusively
  online) and participants will get per Email the link 1-2 days before the 
 course together with the course materials. No course fees apply. The numbe
 r of participants is restricted to 55. Changes to the program/speakers are
  possible. \nPlease login exclusively with your official University- (or
