DESCRIPTION:Solid-state RF amplifiers in particle accelerators often opera
te well below their specified rated output power\, where their efficiency
decreases significantly. The Adaptive Compression Point Control (ACPC) con
cept developed by Cryoelectra and HZB within the RF2.0 project addresses t
his challenge by automatically adaptingthe amplifier bias point to the req
uired RF output power\, without requiring manual adjustment of low-level a
mplifier parameters.\nThe concept was demonstrated by retrofitting a 500 M
Hz\, 75 kW CRE-331D solid-state amplifier at HZB. The webinar will present
a system overview of an RF solid state amplifier\, the ACPC concept\, the
demonstrator and the measurement results\, followed by an outlook on furt
her testing and potential applications to other accelerator RF systems.\n\
