Several new people and groups have connected and introduced themselves

Output Format discussion

Briefly reviewed the status of the discussion and discussed about further options.

- Anatoli proposed that HDF5 hardlinks may absolutely have the same features as a purely-file based solution.

- Lukas proposed to use several example CORSIKA7 files to test different implementations.

- Let's collect all those things and materials in the Issue: https://gitlab.ikp.kit.edu/AirShowerPhysics/corsika/-/issues/296

- Remy was not connected since he had a time conflict. The discussion is continued in the next meeting. The plan is that Remy prepares a presentation to summarize, but others contribute examples and input.

Status report on

- PROPOSAL merge request,

- python interface (now python can be run as continuous physics process!)

 

4.

Plan:

- Most critically: the gitlab Runners have to restored to stable operations.

- In our next meeting:

  * focus on Output Format and other urgent/ongoing Issues.

  * talk by Andre about magnetic fields. 

  * (for time reasons, better shift to next-to-next meeting) talk by Fu about Neutrino telescopes and hadron cascade simulations with Geant4

After output format disucussion: parallelization frameworks.

- Open discussion about output formats, flexibility, requirements and options
