If you are flying, the most convenient airport is the Franz-Josef-Strauss Munich International Airport. From there you can reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen by train (SBahn S1 to Munich central station + regional train to Garmisch, between 2h and 2h and 30 minutes) or by Flixbus (2hours and 10 minutes, bus stop at the airport). In Garmisch, you can use Bus Line 322 (direction Kreuzeck-/Alpspitzbahn), and get off at Garmisch Hammersbacher Fußweg. The institute is easy to spot across the street from the bus stop.
