Description

Magnetic microcalorimeters (MMCs) are cryogenic, energy-dispersive single-particle detectors characterized by fast signal rise times, outstanding energy resolution, and excellent linearity. Due to their overall performance, MMCs are considered a promising detector technology for several next-generation experiments. This poster provides an overview of their prospective role in KATRIN++, a next-generation neutrino-mass experiment; DELight, a direct search experiment for light dark matter; and QUASY, a Quantum Sensor Platform for Synchrotron X-ray Spectroscopy.
