Description
At the Karlsruhe Research Accelerator (KARA), electron beams of up to 200 mA with an energy of up to 2.5 GeV are stored. To determine the transverse beam size, the synchrotron radiation emitted at a five degree port of a bending magnet is coupled into a double-slit interferometer setup. Analysis of the interferogram in the visible spectrum provides the transverse beam size even below the diffraction limit. We present turn-by-turn measurements using KALYPSO, a KIT developed fast line-array detector.
