Travelling to Karlsruhe
The nearest airports for long-distance visitors are Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden.
- Airport Frankfurt: The long-distance train station is located directly in the airport. Direct trains to Karlsruhe or change in Mannheim (see German Rail).
- Airport Stuttgart: Take tram line S2 or S3 to Stuttgart main station (Hauptbahnhof/ Hbf), then change to a train to Karlsruhe (see German Rail).
- Airport Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden: The buses available at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport will take you to the train stations of Rastatt or Baden-Baden where you will find trains leaving to Karlsruhe. -> infrequent public transport connections!
Recommendation:
Use of Frankfurt Airport since it is the biggest airport and has the easiest connection via train to Karlsruhe.
